Our first series of information sessions is on Cancer will be held as detailed below. Cancer is a general name given to over a hundred diseases in which abnormal cells start to divide uncontrollably and invade other parts of body. Untreated cancers can lead to serious illness and hardship for the families of the patient. Death rates for the four most common cancers (prostate, lung, breast, and colorectal) continue to decline over the years due to early detection and advances in timely treatment.

Presenting the sessions are Dr. Sangeeta S. Joshi and Dr. Suhas Joshi. Dr. Sangeeta S. Joshi is a Pathologist and Laboratory Director at the Greater Niagara General Hospital Site of the Niagara Health System. Dr. Suhas Joshi is the Chief of the Pathology Department and Regional Director of Laboratories, Niagara Health System. In addition, he is the Director of laboratories at Life Labs, and the President of the Ontario Association of Pathologists. (Note: Dr. Ken Reddy who was scheduled to speak on prostate cancer is unable to do so due to a prior commitment elsewhere).

Join Dr. Sangeeta Joshi and Dr. Suhas Joshi as they presents a series of three information sessions at the Shiv Mandir on the dates given below.
