Registration is as easy as 1-2-3.

Step 1: Click on the “Buy Now” button for the course of your choice to pay through PayPal’s secure site. You will be given a Receipt ID number on successful completion of the payment process. Please make a note of this number.

Step 2: You will then be automatically redirected to our Registration page Complete the registration process by filling in and submitting the Registration form. You will need to provide your Receipt ID number here.

Step 3: We will contact you shortly to confirm your enrolment status using the contact information you provided. Please note that class sizes may be limited and enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis. In case we are unable to accommodate you in the program of your choice, we will either issue you with a credit towards another program or refund you your money at your option.

Bharata Natyam is one of the foremost and most ancient of classical Indian dance forms. The dance comprises a series of complex movements that demand agility, poise and grace. It takes a great deal of effort and discipline to become a truly skilled Bharata Natyam dancer. At the Niagara Hindu Samaj, we are pleased to offer our introductory classes in Bharata Natyam at two levels under the guidance of Instructor Vaitheki Manickavasagr, who learnt the art under well-known Guru Jeyanthi Shanmugalingam. Under her rigorous training, students will develop confidence and balance, as well as attain higher levels of physical fitness. All of our dance classes will be held at the Shiv Mandir, 5284 Second Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON L2E 4K2.

This course is the first of the three-course series titled “Introduction to Bharata Natyam”. It introduces learners to the basics of Bharata Natyam. Under the guidance of Instructor Vaitheki Manickavasagar, students will enjoy acquiring basic skills in footwork and body postures. The course will provide them with a thorough grounding in the basic elements of the dance form.

Course: Introductory Bharata Natyam, Level 1

Course Number: DANC 2008-2009 1BN

Duration: The course starts on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Classes will be held for an hour each week from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM. No classes will be held in weeks with Canadian and/or Hindu/Jain holidays. The last day of the course is Sunday, June 29, 2009. Register early: late applicants may not be accepted.

Fee: CAD$145 for the full course.

Note: The course will be offered if there are at least 3 registrants.

The second of the three-course series titled “Introduction to Bharata Natyam”, this course continues the basics of Bharata Natyam at the next level after students have acquired the skills imparted in Level 1. Under the guidance of Instructor Vaitheki Manickavasagar, students will enjoy polishing their basic skills in footwork and body postures and learning more complex movements. The course will provide them with a thorough grounding in the more advanced basic elements of the dance form.

Course: Introductory Bharata Natyam, Level 2

Course Number: DANC 2008-2009 2BN

Duration: The course starts on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Classes will be held for an hour each week from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM. No classes will be held in weeks with Canadian and/or Hindu/Jain holidays. The last day of the course is Sunday, June 29, 2009. Register early: late applicants may not be accepted.

Fee: CAD$145 for the full course.
