Gurukul’s Heritage India Summer Camp was run for the first time last year, and it was a resounding success! This year’s camp promises to be bigger and better than ever!

 

Here’s a sample of what the Heritage India Summer Camp offers:

• Knowledge of Hindu and Jain scriptures and cultural and social traditions
• Classes in arts and crafts
• Yoga classes
• Heritage games
• Vocal music lessons
• Development of a sense of pride in our heritage
• The opportunity to volunteer as camp counsellors

 

The camp is open to youngsters from the ages of 5 to 15. A day camp, it will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until 4:00 PM each day.  The grand finale will be a picnic at Queenston Heights Park, Niagara on the Lake on Saturday, August 9.

 

When: Tuesday, August 5 through Saturday, August 9, from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Where: Shiv Mandir, Niagara Hindu Samaj, 5284 Second Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON L2E 4K2.

Fee: $60 per camper.
